With the 2008 almost here and the Nascar losing fans faster then they can replace then, is the diecast market really dead..? I for one hope not, I spent years looking for that odd little car that made me ever so happy when i found it...But the makers of diecast don't realize that!, All there worried about is how many dale Jr cars can we sell next year, how many different paints can we have Gordon, Jimmie and Jr run....They're taken the fun of the hurt out of the game, first in the diecast marker, and now on the track, no more of that little guy sneaking thru for a win, its MEGA TEAM or nothing. Hell, I can remember searching for almost a year for a #29 Blue Diamond Phil Parsons 1/64th, or that ever hard to find Big Mamas Beef Snacks Steve Grissom...We all have a hunting storys and wish those days would come back, but as long as Nascar controls the diecast market, we're not going to see a little guys diecast, hell we'll be lucky to see any "Nationwide Diecast". Well, I got back into NHRA diecast cuz its getting harder to find, I'm sure with Bruton buying and building drag strips now, we'll see some cars coming from MA as he's half owner.
